Introducing “Cyclone Stack”: The Powerful Upgrade for Canto Blockchain Before Its Shift to Polygon
Canto, a Cosmos-based layer-1 blockchain, has recently announced its “Cyclone Stack” upgrade aimed at enhancing scalability and performance. This announcement comes as the project prepares for a highly anticipated migration to the Polygon ecosystem.
The Cyclone Stack is comprised of three upgrades – Callisto, Kallichore, and Elara – which will contribute to faster block times, improved storage access speeds, and set new benchmarks for transaction execution. Additionally, Canto has ensured that these upgrades are fully compatible with all Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) tooling and applications. EVM is the software that executes smart contracts and enables compatibility with Ethereum and other similar chains.
According to a press release, these upgrades mark a major milestone for Canto in achieving high performance and scalability. The platform aims to cater to the needs of both developers and users with this comprehensive upgrade suite.
This news aligns with Canto’s earlier announcement in September that they will be migrating to become a layer-2 solution on the Polygon network. The team plans to build their own cyclone EVM and integrate it with Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) to strengthen the network’s security with ZK-proving.
Canto is primarily designed for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, and these developments demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the platform’s capabilities for both developers and users. Canto’s Cyclone Stack is a significant step towards achieving their goals of high performance and scalability.
