The internet of things knows no bounds by Richard Soley
Two paths, one goal: The Industry 4.0 Platform and the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) are digital allies. The inspiration to work together on standards for networked industry came from Bosch, a member of both initiatives.
A new limitless Internet of Things
When the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) launched in 2014, it was a global consortium, founded by multi-national conglomerates to drive the adoption of the industrial internet. In three short years, its membership has grown to nearly 300 companies across more…

Trinity Mobile Beta Release
The IOTA Foundation is proud to announce the beta release of the Trinity Mobile wallet app.
Trinity is the new user-friendly wallet from the IOTA Foundation. A wallet born of the community, earnestly championed by the community, and finally taken under the Foundation’s wing. We hope you all share our excitement for this release!
Over the last few months the Trinity development team has been working diligently, in close collaboration with community members. Long days and nights, building, testing, getting feedback and…
Running the IOTA C libs on Arduino
One of my ultimate goals with IOTA at the moment is getting it working on MCUs. In a previous post, we managed to get an Arduino sending messages over MAM using the Johnny-Five Javascript framework. This, I thought, was a good introduction, but still requires the Arduino to be connected to my computer, which is less than ideal.
So in order to make things harder for myself (and in the pursuit of learning and all that stuff), I set myself the challenge of getting the iota lightweight c library working on my arduino.

Exclusive interview to the Oyster protocol team before Mainnet release
Some weeks ago we contacted Oyster Protocol to see if they would like to give us an interview and the team thought that, while working in the release of their mainnet, it could be a good idea to tell IOTA Hispano readers a bit about what they are working on. Oyster is one of the first projects that plans to use the Tangle as backbone for file storage. Fortunately, Nicolas Pedroso from IOTA Hispano editor team, has been following this project for some time now and was happly willing to conduct the interview.

Welcome Richard Soley to the IOTA Foundation
Dr. Richard Mark Soley is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OMG ®, Executive Director of the Cloud Standards Customer Council, and Executive Director of the Industrial Internet Consortium.
As Chairman and CEO of OMG, Dr. Soley is responsible for the vision and direction of the world’s largest consortium of its type. Dr. Soley joined the nascent OMG as Technical Director in 1989, leading the development of OMG’s world-leading standardization process and the original CORBA specification. In 1996, he led the effort to…
Serguei Popov, one of the main contributions in IOTA
The Russian mathematician Serguei Popov, professor of the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing (Imecc) of Unicamp, is one of the creators of Iota, cryptocurrency launched in 2015 with the proposal to introduce innovations in that segment. One of the differentials of the digital currency is that it dispenses the collection of fees to make the transactions viable, in addition to having been designed to be applied to the Internet of Things (IoT). In the interview that follows, the teacher talks about…
Configure your node for Trinity
With the Trinity mobile beta approaching, it is important that node owners are suitably prepared. Mobile app stores require that all data traffic is encrypted with SSL/TLS. If you’re not sure what SSL and TLS do, here’s a quick video to explain it:
What does SSL/TLS mean for Trinity?
Mandatory SSL/TLS is necessary in Trinity for a few reasons. First, Apple requires App Transport Security (ATS) to be enabled in all apps submitted to the App Store. Developers who submit apps without ATS must justify their decision to…
Biometrics meets “Blockchain” or Identity x IOTA
Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) are still a young, but very powerful domain. Unfortunately, most people only focus on one application group (crypto currencies), while there are plenty and even more interesting usages to be explored, build and integrated into real life. One of the next generation DLTs named IOTA/ Tangle (based on a Directed Acyclic Graph, instead of blockchain), points out identity, mobility, supply chain, healthcare and many more application groups to explore on a scalable, zero fee based decentralised…
Splitting Transactions on the Tangle
One of the key challenges we need to solve upfront implementing a way to split transactions on the tangle. In the case of Tanglefy, this is so the platform can take a small fee to keep the lights on, but one could imagine needing to split transactions for other reasons. For example, you could use this approach to automatically pay vendors whenever a product is sold, or perhaps 2 or more parties could sell a product together, each taking a predetermined share of the revenue.
Now I will note that this is a centralized…
IOTA is part of the Climate Chain Coalition
The Climate Chain Coalition (CCC) is an open global initiative to support collaboration among members and stakeholders to advance blockchain (distributed ledger technology) and related digital solutions (e.g. IoT, big data) to help mobilize climate finance and enhance MRV (measurement, reporting and verification) to scale climate actions for mitigation and adaptation.
During the One Planet Summit on December 12, 2017 in Paris, France (the 2nd anniversary of the Paris Agreement), a multi-stakeholder group of 12 organizations…
