Genuino awarded with the Gaetano Marzotto Price

Inspired by Gaetano Marzotto, a well-known businessman of the 1900s, who knowingly combined business and society, culture and the territory, the Gaetano Marzotto Price is looking for new business people and builders of the future who are able to combine innovation, business and society.

“We would like to award an early stage start-up that fosters authenticity and sustainability of Made in Italy high-end brands, and protects them by leveraging distributed ledger and Internet of Things technologies to guarantee transparency and immutable data”.

With this words, Donato Iacovone, Ernst & Young Managing Partner Italy, Spain, and Portugal, announced Genuino Blockchain Technologies Inc., as the winners of EY Special Prize, during the Gaetano Marzotto Awards Ceremony at the Maxxi National Arts Museum in Rome last night.

Entirely based on IOTA Tangle distributed ledger technology and integrated IoT sensors, Genuino applies IDoT to the production process with the objective to increase the authenticity of data provided, incentivising an active and aware supply chain ecosystem, and drastically reduce the possibility of manipulation of it.
