ShimmerSea Training DEX

We are excited to announce our ShimmerSea Training DEX which will launch on Shimmer’s EVM test chain! The goal is to support the testing of the Shimmer EVM test chain, stress test our infrastructure setup, allow our community to get familiar with the ShimmerSea DEX and have fun together!

The Training DEX only showcases our absolute MVP (Minimal Viable Product) of ShimmerSea and will not run any of the advanced features and tokenomics that ShimmerSea will have at its official launch. These advanced features and tokenomics are all finished and already audited by HashEx. But they are taken out to protect our innovations until the official launch. With the official launch our code will be open sourced and publicly available.

Let’s get into the organisational and technical aspects of ShimmerSea’s Training DEX:

Our Training DEX will be exclusively accessible to holders of a LUMI, IOTABOT, SOONABOT or IOTAPE! For everyone holding one of these NFTs, get your snorkeling gear ready, it’s time to venture into a new world deep under the sea! More information about our Training DEX will be coming soon. If you have not already, follow our socials to not miss it!

As the Test EVM Chain of Shimmer has Gas Fees you will also need GasSMR to transact with our Training DEX. But GasSMR for the Test EVM is freely available for all. You can get GasSMR via our gas station.

Another technical aspect to note is that the SMR token traded and pooled on our Training DEX will NOT be the official SMR token that is issued by the test EVM Chain Faucet from the Iota Foundation! We will create a specific TestSMR Token just for our Training DEX. This has token economic reasons for training purposes.
