Welcome Piotr Macek to the IOTA Foundation

Piotr Macek joins the IOTA research team as research engineer. In this role Piotr will focus on contributing to the GoShimmer project and related research.

Piotr lives in Wrocław, Poland and has a master’s degree in data science from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. He has 6 years of professional experience working as a software engineer and data engineer. He engaged with IOTA on the Coordicide Grant for Cellular Automata Improvements.

On joining IOTA

I have been observing the crypto space for the last couple of years and learning about the internal works of different cryptocurrencies. IOTA sparked my interest for its novel approach to creating distributed ledger. I am really excited to be part of the team working on this project and be able to contribute my knowledge to make this project even more awesome.
